This multi-media sculpture series pokes gentle fun at the foibles, caprice and faux pas inherent in hierarchical institutions such as government, corporations, schools, the military and the family. I have a deep interest in Greek, Roman, and Nordic mythology. Throughout the series, Odin, god of the ancient Vikings and his motley crew of indulgent lackeys and subservient slaves, sally forth aboard impossible fantasy ships in pursuit of high adventure and riches akin to the voyages of Homer's "Odysseus". In my experience, the various actions portrayed aboard the ships are allegorically consistent with the often maniacal behavior of both ancient and modern man.
