Barry Phillips the Elder (1939-2020) studied art at the Art Center College of Design and at Texas Tech University during the 1960's. Early in his career, he served as president of the Texas Association of Schools of Art. In 1985 he founded BRAG Publications, a non-profit exhibition space for contemporary art in Odessa, TX. His studio work has been exhibited in over 100 shows nationwide and is included in numerous private collections.
Barry Phillips the Younger (b. 1960) studied art at Texas Tech University and East Texas State University during the 1980's. He is the past recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Regional Fellowship in Drawing and Printmaking as well as a Kimbrough Award from the Dallas Museum of Art. His studio work has been exhibited in over 100 shows nationwide and is included in numerous private collections.
